Summary

The Yes4All Deluxe Tricep Rope Pull Down is a cheap but effective tool built with a comfortable nylon rope and decent supporting components.

Pros

  • Smooth nylon rope fees comfortable.
  • Excellent price.

Cons

  • Carabiner and Chrome-finished attachments feel cheap.
  • Plastic end caps are undersized.

The Yes4All Deluxe Tricep Rope Pull Down is an affordable, no-thrills piece of equipment that I currently use with my Powertec Lat Machine. I purchased this unit on Amazon for just $16.99 and for the cost, it’s a suitable option.

The nylon rope feels comfortable against my hands. The rope is surprisingly smooth which allows for no friction against my skin while using the rope.

The Yes4All Deluxe Tricep Rope Pull Down also features a decent looking chrome finish on the attachment area, along with a carabiner that works well but feels a little bit cheap, probably because it was a very cheap $16.99 product. I’m okay with a slight lack of quality on these parts because they operate as expected. I will note that the carabiner feels like it might easily break, thankfully, because of various other attachments I currently own, swapping out that piece of cheap product is not an issue.

In terms of the end pieces, the plastic feels cheap and while the unit is highly rated on Amazon, some users have noted that their pull-down ropes fell apart fast, although those users are few and far in-between.

My biggest problem with the Yes4All Rope Pull Down is actually the size of the end pieces. I don’t have oversized hands but I find there isn’t a lot of available area to grip. When using the pull-down for weighted crunches I pull between 200 and 250 pounds and I find a lot of strain is left on the side of my hands because of the small end pieces.

Standard tricep movements such as pushdowns and over-head movements work well with the rope which is really the main point of this Yes4All Rope Pull Down unit and for that reason, I gave the unit a decent overall rating.
