The Rogue Fraser SR-2S Speed Rope 3.0 is my go-to speed rope. In fact, before purchasing this rope, I hated speed rope exercises. I often found it hard to find my rhythm because my ropes either wore down too quickly or weren’t maintaining a consistent spin.
Admittedly, $65 seemed like a high price for a speed rope, but after reading several reviews, I decided to give Rogue a chance with this rope.
I was immediately surprised by the consistent spin and the lightweight aluminum design that encompasses the handles on the rope.
The knurling on the Rogue Fraser SR-2S Speed Rope 3.0 is nearly perfect. I use my speed rope during CrossFit training, and even with sweaty palms, my grip remains consistent throughout every use.
The aircraft-grade aluminum with it’s 5.25″ tapered handle fits great in my hands, and the omnidirectional bearing swivel allows me to maintain decent control over the 120″ included speed cable.
Before I purchased this speed rope, I struggled to perform double unders. Admittedly, it’s still a bit of a struggle, but the rope’s consistency allows me to reach closer to my goal of consistency with the maneuvers. Even without double unders, I can maintain great consistency in my jumps, allowing for hundreds of successful jumps before failure.
I’m 5′ 10″ and adjusting the included 2.3MM nylon-coated black speed cable took about 30 seconds. After adjusting the rope to my armpit level I tightened the included screw and began using my new speed rope.
As a bonus, I spent just $8.50 for 5 replacement ropes. My original rope lasted several months and I was jumping on cement. In my finished garage gym, I’ve gone 4 months on a single rope on rubber gym flooring. While the initial cost isn’t cheap, the maintenance cost for replacement ropes is very reasonable.
The Rogue speed rope replacement ropes are also part of the company’s “3 ships free” promotion which makes them even more affordable when bought in bulk or alongside other products such as the Rogue 3-in-1 Barbell Cleaning Kit.
The last part of the rope to review is the HWPO lettering which, as you can see, is very pronounced. If you’re a fan of Mat Fraser, which I am, you’ll know that HWPO is his motto and stands for “Hard Work Pays Off.” It may sound silly, but that little reminder when I’m exhausted and want to call it quits can help towards the end of a workout.
I’m by far not an expert in speed ropes. That said, I know that the Rogue Fraser SR-2S Speed Rope 3.0 works wonders for my speed roping, and I can confidently recommend it.

Love This Rope!
I love this speed rope! I used to use a regular jump rope as part of my workouts but received a $50 Rogue gift card as a birthday present. I bought this rope on a whim and I’ve since purchased the 5-pack of replacement ropes. I worked my way up to double unders and I quickly learned that speed ropes do a much better job than my traditional jump rope. The spin is very consistent and the rope is light weight but still maintains control really well. I absolutely love it.
