Summary

The Rep Ab Roller is a no-thrills but effective piece of equipment that every garage gym owner should purchase.

Pros

Excellent price point. Simple Assembly. Rolls nicely throughout entire ab movements. The wheels are grippy on rubber floors.

Cons

The plastic insert will likely show wear and tear rather quickly.

The Rep Fitness Ab Roller is a simple piece of gym equipment that will have your abs begging for a rest while building your core with precision. Ab rollers, also known as ab wheels, have been around for years for a reason, they work.

I purchased the Rep Ab Roller for $24.99 and that price includes free shipping. The price point is on par with other ab wheels and the product arrived at my doorstep within three days from the time of purchase.

The first thing I noticed about the product purchase was the flat box that the ab roller arrived in.

The flat shipping box keeps down the price of the unit which ships with three separate parts. To assemble the ab roller simply slide both wheels onto the bar and then add the second handle.

Once attached the rubber handle that I recently placed on the included bar fit like a glove and a few tough pulls proved to me that it will stay attached.

The wheel itself features a standard plastic insert that rolls along the bar.

The plastic rolls surprisingly easily along the metal bar. Movements feel smooth during every movement along with my rubber gym flooring. The tread grip is just like most ab rollers I have used and I have no complaints about the general build of the wheel and bar attachment.

The rubber handles feel grippy in my hands and they hold my Rogue Chalk really well. From the start to the end of every movement, even when my hands are sweaty from HiiT training, I don’t feel like I’m going to faceplant when using the Rep Fitness Ab Roller.

The handles on the Rep Ab Roller are large enough to comfortably fit my hands. In fact, there’s enough space that I am able to position my hands just right to avoid too much pressure on my shoulders during each movement.

There’s not a lot that needs to be written about the Rep Fitness Ab Roller. It’s a simple product, that does one specific gym-based job really well and it ships for less than $30.

If you’re in the market for an ab wheel and you’re a fan of the Rep Fitness brand (we sure are) then I would definitely recommend their ab wheel.
