The Titan Fitness Viking Press Landmine Handle With Neutral Grip (V2) is a solid piece of equipment for under $60. If you desire added exercises for your landmine workouts this option provides two grip widths with fat handles that will test your grip strength. At 17-pounds it’s built like a tank although the weld points could be nicer but in no way affect performance.
Pros
- Built like a tank.
- Fat grips test your grip strength.
- Two grip widths for different exercises.
- Excellent prince.
Seamless tube to add a bit of protection to your barbell sleeve.
Cons
- Weld points are a bit sloppy.
- Not everyone will love the fat grip.
- The locking mechanism can tear into your barbell’s sleeve.
- More head spacing would allow for an increased number of exercises.
One of my favorite pieces of garage gym equipment is my Rogue Fitness Landmine Attachment 2.0. I can spend half a workout with my barbell, my landmine attachment and some weights. The Titan Fitness Viking Press Landmine Handle with Neutral Grip (V2) adds a dimension to my workouts that I normally wouldn’t have without it.
When I’m engaged with much of my overhead landmine training, it’s the Landmine Handle and the Titan Fitness Landmine Stand that are assisting my exercises.
The landmine viking press attachment slides nicely over our Rogue Ohio Bar and in V2 Titan Fitness has included a seamless tube that is meant to prevent scratching. In all honestly, we use a Cerakote bar and it’s going to scratch up with repeated use but in the short-term I haven’t noticed any issues.
The grip spacing is very nice, allowing for 24″ and 10.5″ options. I really like the fat grip, it adds a bit of grip strength variation to my Viking presses. I have been spending a lot of time working on grip strength over the last few months and this product makes a big difference. When engaged specifically in pulling exercises, I personally like the added difficulty, although some users have complained for the very same reason.
The powder coat finish is also decent. For a long time now I’ve felt as though Titan Fitness has skimped on a really good powder coat but they are slowly improving.
While a locking mechanism is provided, I’ve avoided the option to keep from scratching my Ohio bar. Additionally, you have to over-tighten the screw and it will chew right into your bar. I also found the welds to be sloppy but for under $60, I’m not complaining since the landmine Viking press attachment is built like a tank and weighs in at 17 pounds.
Finally, the spacing to place your head could be improved. The 8-inches of spacing isn’t enough for all workouts with this type of handle, although for the price, I still think it’s worth the purchase if you are on a budget.
Overall, the Titan Fitness Viking Press Landmine Handle with Neutral Grip (V2) is a great buy for with price point that makes it an obvious choice for a landmine attachment.
