I’m going to keep this review for the Kettlebell Kings Powder Coat Kettlebells short and simple. It’s no surprise that when it comes to kettlebells there are really only a few sticking points to review. First, how does it feel in the hand, second, how does the paint hold up under intense use, and finally, how well balanced is the kettlebell.
First, I love the feel of the new and improved Kettlebell Kings product. The company had received some complaints with its last kettlebells. Those complaints were specifically related to paint that didn’t stand up to rigorous wear and tear. The company recently improved those issues by testing various paints and creating better adhesion and “cooking” processes for the powder coat. This process means any Kettlebell Kings Powder Coat Kettlebells that you purchase now will have a slightly different look than the bells you may have purchased form them in the past. You can learn more about the new process HERE.
The kettlebell feels amazing in the hand. The smooth creation leaves no room for error. There are no rough edges, which I’ve come to expect from major brands, and the powder coat provides a nice grip without eating into my hand during use. The kettlebells are molded from a single piece of cast iron which means they are incredibly sturdy while avoiding any strange welded spots.
The bells are perfectly balanced. I tested the 26 and 44-pound options and they were spot on for the stated weight, while the kettlebells, because they are molded from a single piece of cast iron, were perfectly balanced.
Overall, I really love the Kettlebell Kings Powder Coat Kettlebells. Given that they come with a lifetime warranty and the fact that I take extra precautions to protect my garage gym products, I’m sure I’ll still love this product 5 and maybe even 10 years down the road.
