Summary

The Rogue Axle is a specialty bar with a thicker bar diameter, which helps develop stronger grip strength during any weightlifting session.

The Rogue Axle was developed to enhance grip strength, and user reviews have been solid. At the time of publication, the product had a 4+ star rating.

Developed in a collaboration between the Rogue team and Rob Orlando of Hybrid Athletics, the Rogue Axle is a powder-coated bar boasting a 1.9” diameter. Designed to inject a fresh challenge into any workout routine, it fosters significant improvements in wrist and grip strength. The bar stretches 84″ in total length, with 15.5” of sleeve space and a 52” gap between collars.

Ideal for exercises like presses, rows, and deadlifts, the Axle delivers a more demanding yet highly rewarding workout experience, uniquely targeting hand muscles that conventional bars can’t reach. This same principle has made fat bars indispensable in modern Strongman training. The 5’ Stubby Axle is also available for those seeking a more compact option.

The bar is currently being sold for $140, which is a steal compared to some of the other similar bars currently available on the market, such as the American Barbell Axel Fat Bar, which sells for $195.

Rogue does warn that prolonged metal-to-metal contact with the coated sleeves (e.g., adding or removing plates) may result in gradual wear on the finish over time.
