Summary

The Rep Fitness Rep 3-in-1 Soft Plyo Boxes feature a wood core surrounded by foam and covered with a high-quality vinyl covering. The box absorbs shock while supporting up to 400 pounds in weight. The Rep Plyo Boxes also arriving fully assembled.

Pros

  • Incredibly sturdy.
  • High weight limit.
  • Quality vinyl.
  • Absorbs shocks.
  • Protects your shins.
  • Very reasonably priced.

Cons

  • Should only be used on a non-slip surface, preferably a rubber floor to avoid the box sliding around.
  • The taller heights have less surface area due to the required rectangular shape (this is expected but still a downside for some people).

The Rep Soft 3-in-1 Plyo Boxes can take your conditioning routines to the next level while saving your shins when you miss your next box jump or collapse in exhaustion from one step-up to many.

I recently added the Rep Soft 3-in-1 plyo box to my arsenal, choosing the 16″, 20″, and 24″ combo. I specifically chose this box to provide 2-inches shorter distance for my box squats while providing decent heights for my box jumps and step-ups.

One of the best parts about the Rep soft 3-in-1 plyo box setup is the use of wood, a solid foam core, and a high-quality vinyl. Simply stepping on the box proved that it wasn’t going to fall apart under my feet. At the same time, the vinyl gives just enough play to avoid the shock I often feel when jumping on my Rogue Resin Plyo Box or my wooden boxes. Rep Fitness promises the 3-in-1 plyo box will help absorb impact and it’s obviously a statement that they’ve delivered on. I’m 40-years-old and careful on my knees and had absolutely no issues with impact soreness after many intense plyo box heavy workout sessions.

The vinyl provided with these boxes feels well made with decent stitching. Where the cover stands out most though is the non-slip textured pattern that is durable and feels safe. Even during a sweaty workout, I felt confident that I wasn’t going to slip out from under the box. I will note that another reviewer in the video below had some issues with stitching coming loose. If your stitching becomes an issue down the road, Rep Fitness does sell replacement covers at a fraction of the cost compared to the full box.

An added benefit of this box is that it arrives already setup for use. Just pull it out of the box, remove the plastic packaging and you’re ready to go.

With a 400 pound capacity for each of the three box sizes, Rep Fitness is really standing behind the build of its product.

One important thing to note is that due to the rectangular design which is required to make a 3-in-1 plyo box, the taller two sides have less surface area than the smallest height. This is to be expected but some reviewers have said they don’t like that aspect of the these box types.
